The Indian Biogas Association and Global Confederation of Cow Based Industries (GCCI) today entered into a MoU to work together for the welfare and management of cows, as well as promoting cow entrepreneurship nationally through GCCI member Gaushalas and entrepreneurs and ensuring that GAU Dhan reaches every household.
The MoU is undertaken to provide for all required infrastructure for at least 5 lakhs non-milching cows in the first phase and to provide training for manufacturing commercial products made up of cow dung and cow urine in GCCI member Gaushalas in the first phase.
The Indian Biogas Association is working consistently for the biogas sector, and the Global Confederation of Cow-Based Industries (GCCI) is working for cow-based industries. Both organizations are working towards a circular economy based on cow dhan, which is the reason for coming together to synergize a common goal.
Gaurav Kedia, Chairman, Indian Biogas Association, said, “The signing of this MoU marks a significant step towards realizing the Swarnim Bharat vision of Prime Minister Modi. Through this agreement, IBA and GCCI affirm our commitment to building a strong and prosperous India. By working together, we can harness the full potential of our resources and achieve our shared goal of a brighter future for all Indians.”
GCCI founder Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria said, “Cow owners and Gaushalas can earn millions through organized cow entrepreneurship and making Gaushalas Self Sustainable. IBA and GCCI together can do wonders for the cow-based industries. The Indian Biogas Association can act as a catalyst for our mission. Both organisations complement each other through a common goal of promoting a cow-based economy. GCCI's aim is to promote cow-based industries globally, and IBA can add to it through its vision for the biogas sector. We will be able to deliver on our commitment towards a cow-based economy in the years to come.”
The purpose of this MoU is to promote GAU (Gai Aadharit Unnati and Udyog Concept), i.e., serve cows and provide several services to goushalas and cow owners, including supply and demand-side infrastructure and promotion, with the core aim of ensuring no stray cattle are on the road, or in other words, they are properly adopted.
The Indian Biogas Association shall facilitate the fundraising, facilitate fodder supply, and ensure cow digitization. GCCI shall help to provide an ecosystem to support and promote the cow-based economy.
IBA and GCCI are committed to spreading the vision across India. As a first step, GauTech2023—Global Cow-Based Investment Summit and Expo—is organized in Rajkot from 24th May to 28th May. The Indian Biogas Association is participating in and fully supporting the Gautech 2023 event.
