New Delhi, January 29, 2024-An esteemed group of 45 students from The Scindia School, Gwalior, proudly represented their esteemed institution and delivered an outstanding performance at the Prime Minister's Rally on January 27th. With each assured stride, these students continue to uphold the school's unparalleled legacy. Since making its debut in the parade in 1973, the school's brass band has consistently distinguished itself as a prominent highlight at the Republic Day celebrations every year.
Mr Ajay Singh, Principal, The Scindia School, was brimming with pride as he said, “This year, our brass band joined forces with the bands from Sainik School Kapurthala, the North East region, and Pilani, all under the leadership of Band Major Vaibhav Aggarwal from The Scindia School.Since 2005, our band has proudly marched along the Kartavyapath. Notably, it has presented numerous Guard of Honour displays for various dignitaries, including a notable performance last year before the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, at the National War Memorial. This year the band presented the Guard of Honour display to the Vice President of India on 5th January and to the Chief of Army Staff on January 9th. This was followed by brand presenting the Guard of Honour display at the Republic Day Celebration Horse Show event and to the Honourable Defence Minister of India on 20th January.”
He further added, “The brass band also performed at the Prime Minister’s Rally on the 27th and received immense appreciation and accolades for its performance.Our brass band remains a source of immense pride for us, showcasing ongoing accomplishments each year. The dedication and discipline exhibited by the students in the parade reflect the values that define our daily life at The Scindia School.”
The Scindia School is recognized across all the schools to have the most extraordinary brass band. For its consistent exemplary performance at Prime Minister’s rally, Band Major Vaibhav Agrawal was honoured with the Best Band Major award for his exceptional contribution to the Band display.
